Singer/songwriter, artist, freelance writer,  teacher, mother of two elementary-age children,  human for both a Pug and a Queensland Blue Healer, Jeannie Caryn believes  in sharing life experiences to foster authentic relationships.

Jeannie Caryn grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she earned her Bachelor degree in English Composition and Masters degree in Secondary English curriculum.  She taught high school and university level  English courses in  Las Vegas before moving to Tempe, Arizona, where she began teaching at Arizona State University and Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.

In 2004, Caryn moved to Marietta, Georgia, and began teaching English at Kennesaw State University;  she has also taught at several private schools and Cobb County middle and high schools.

Politically, she believes most in "truth seeking" but describes herself as a Social Libertarian and Economic Conservative.   With regard to politics, she believes Herman Cain says it best, "Listen and you might learn something"; she believes it's always best to consider all sides of an issue.

Caryn grew up in a Protestant family and has family ties to the Jewish community, but she does not practice religion; her beliefs are best illustrated by a quote from Henry David Thoreau: "The Universe is wider than our views of it".

Performing frequently at local venues, Jeannie Caryn enjoys entertaining an audience with her acoustic guitar as a singer/songwriter and can often be found at open mic venues.   She also enjoys capturing snipets of life through photography, painting, and sketching.

When she is not creating, performing, writing or cheering on teams at the soccer field or basketball court, Jeannie Caryn enjoys spending time with special friends or in her backyard snapping nature photos and tossing the ball for her dogs.
