Thousands of Gifts Donated to Johns Creek ‘Toys for Tots’

More than 1,000 new toys for Metro Atlanta's needy children were donated over the last six weeks to the by Johns Creek residents and businesses. As part of the city's annual contribution to the U.S. Marine Corps' "Toys for Tots" campaign, gifts were collected for children at Johns Creek City Hall, all three Johns Creek fire stations and Park Place at Newtown School, Johns Creek’s active adult center. Once again, longtime Johns Creek resident Ron Green donated hundreds of gifts, filling two vehicles of toys when he drove the gifts Dec. 18 to Johns Creek Fire Station No. 61. Johns Creek’s annual 'Toys for Tots' campaign underway.

This Christmas season bring a smile of happiness to the face of a needy child by donating a toy or game to the City of Johns Creek’s 6th annual “Toys for Tots” campaign at one of five locations throughout the city. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 14  "With the economy still struggling, many families are cutting back on their gifts," said Johns Creek Fire Marshal Chad McGiboney, who is spearheading the program for the city. "Johns Creek residents are generous, big-hearted people. We're hoping that people will step up and we’ll see more happy kids on Christmas Day.
