Fulton to Teach Seniors to Use Smartphones, Tablets, Skype

The latest in electronic communications will be taught to Fulton County senior citizens in two step-by-step workshops.

Fulton County and AT&T want seniors to embrace the latest electronic communications technology through workshops on how to use items, such as smartphones, tablets and apps, or applications.  Two senior multipurpose facilities will host two workshops known as “Senior Tech Rallies”. Both rallies will be open to registered multipurpose program participants. The first workshop will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex. Benson is located at 6500 Vernon Woods Drive in Sandy Springs. The second workshop will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Harriett G. I've noticed many schools are doing this and I think it is a great idea. It not only helps seniors learn new technology, but it gives students a great experience.
