Volunteers Honored at Annual Mayor's Ball
Event benefits Johns Creek Foundation, which works to support non-profits.
Local residents danced to the beat of the band Synergy and helped raise funds for the Johns Creek Foundation at the Mayor’s Ball held Oct. 19 at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker began his speech by sharing a secret about serving as mayor with the audience. “A lot of time you get your speeches two minutes before you make them,” he said. “I’ve had this one for five.” He recognized fellow members of the Johns Creek City Council, State Rep. Lynne Riley, State Sen. David Shafer, Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann, city employees and members of the Johns Creek Foundation.
