Loving Leela Needs a Home
Affectionate kitten likes to comfort sick dogs.
Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is helping a special kitten find a new home. Leela was taken in by the organization’s veterinary clinic, Peach Pets Animal Hospital, after a client asked for help. The client had been volunteering in a low-income housing area and came across a kitten that had been abandoned. Even sadder, the little brown-and-white kitten had lost her left eye. Dr. Stephanie Smith and her staff decided to take Leela under their wing and provided complete vet care for her, including suturing the lid where her missing eye had been. Since that time, she has lived in the clinic, although Angels volunteers sometimes take her into their homes and bring her to the organization’s weekly adoption events at the Petco on State Bridge Road in…
