Ocee Elementary in Johns Creek celebrates this season of giving with its very own Giving Tree. This Ocee tradition will benefit the Atlanta Children's Shelter and provide much needed items from diapers to books to clothing for families working toward self-reliability. Each student at Ocee will take a leaf from the tree which has a needed item written on it, and replace the leaf with one of their own. The students have written on their leaves what they are thankful for this year. Ocee Principal Deborah Pernice read "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein to the entire student body to kick off this year's Giving Tree and instill in the students a spirit of giving and caring for others.
