Gusts in Forecast Lead to Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service says the wind gusts will last all day.

The winds will blow on Wednesday, so watch out for falling tree limbs blowing debris and be extra careful driving if you have a high-profile vehicle. The National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a wind advisory from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Wednesday. A wind advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least 20 mph, or gusts to 35 mph or stronger are expected. Winds will be out of the west rom 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph. UPDATED: Dense Fog Makes Driving Hazardous Christmas Morning

The National Weather Service predicts the heavy, dense fog will limit visibility to one-quarter mile or less.

UPDATED 7 a.m. Dec. 25: The National Weather Service extended the dense fog advisory for another hour, until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, with widespread visibilities of one-quarter mile or less, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. The low visibilities will make driving hazardous. If driving, slow down and use low-beam headlights. Leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
