Alpharetta Closing GA 400 Lanes, Ramp Today

The Department of Public Safety's traffic investigators will recreate last week's fatal accident to determine its cause.

Expect big delays on GA 400 northbound near Haynes Bridge Road today, April 19 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. as Alpharetta traffic crash investigators try to determine exactly what happened in an April 11 fatal accident. The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety closing two northbound lanes of GA 400 from the Haynes Bridge entrance ramp onto GA 400, extending north toward Old Milton Parkway, according to George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. More than the GA 400 lanes will be closed. As the accident began on the northbound entrance ramp from Haynes Bridge, investigators will close the ramp also. "All motorists will experience traffic volume delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes of travel," Gordon said…

Georgia 400 Toll Plaza Lane Closures

Peach Pass signage installation begins near the GA 400 Toll Plaza area this weekend.

The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) will begin modifying existing overhead and toll booth signage located near the GA 400 Toll Plaza area this weekend, according to a news release. The work plan requires that southbound and northbound lanes be closed intermittently overnight while the work is underway, significantly impacting traffic flow. The work is scheduled to begin, weather permitting, from 10 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, through 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Southbound and northbound all-electronic toll lanes, as well as some cash-only and cashier lanes at the GA 400 Toll Plaza, will be closed at various times, which could impact traffic flow while the work is underway.
