Johns Creek Residents Can Shred Sensitive Document For Free

A commercial shredder for Johns Creek residents will be available Saturday June 1 at Panera Bread.

Johns Creek residents who worry about protecting their identity will soon have a safe and secure way of destroying sensitive documents. A complimentary commercial shredding service will be available for residents to take advantage of from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday June 1 at Panera Bread. The restaurant is located at 11715 Medlock Bridge Road.  The shredding service, sponsored by the city of Johns Creek and the chain restaurant, will be done for free on site and all paper accumulated will be recycled. Fulton's Grad Rate: 71.34 Percent

State average is 67.44 percent

More Rain Possible This Week, Sunny Skies by Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend's heavy rain moves out of Johns Creek, making way for mostly sunny skies by the weekend.

After yet another weekend filled with flood warnings and event cancellations throughout the metro area, Johns Creek is in for some sunny skies early this week and this Memorial Day weekend, though rain will be likely on Wednesday. The threat of inclement weather this past weekend forced the cancellation of the city's Touch-a-Truck event, while Parsons Road was temporarily shut down due to a downed tree. Touch-A-Truck has been rescheduled for Sept. 21, and Parsons Raod is now re-opened. Meanwhile, according to the National Weather Service, Big Creek remains above flood stage, affecting some yards in North Fulton and Forsyth counties. The creek was expected to fall below flood stage by early Tuesday. The Big Creek Greenway is closed due to …

Rain Cancels Johns Creek's Touch-A-Truck Event

The Public Works Day has been rescheduled to Sept. 21.

Rain in the forecast caused the postponement of a Touch-a-Truck event in Johns Creek scheduled for Saturday, May 18. The Johns Creek Public Works Day/Touch-A-Truck event will be rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, according to Doug Nurse, the city's Communications manager. It still will be held at Johns Creek High School. The family friendly event highlights the contributions of the Public Works Department with games, equipment and vehicles, face-painting.
