Fulton Schools Adopt Calendar for Next Two Years
Calendars adopted for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years.
The Fulton County School Board has adopted calendars for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years. Highlights of the calendars, which were approved in a unanimous vote during a school board meeting, include a short break in October as well as a full-week break in November at the Thanksgiving holiday. Both also include a two-week holiday break in late December/early January as well as a weeklong spring break in April “We asked the community for their input, and parents and school staff expressed a desire to have a more traditional calendar with well-timed breaks that invigorate students and teachers,” said Superintendent Robert Avossa. “We also heard requests to have our major breaks align with those in neighboring school districts.” …
