Fire Damages Nearby Dreamland BBQ
The popular Peachtree Corners eatery was heavily damaged by fire around 5:30 p.m. A quick-thinking restaurant manager evacuated customers and employees when he saw smoke in the back of the building.
Dreamland BBQ, the popular restaurant located on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Peachtree Corners Circle, caught fire Wednesday evening around 5:30 p.m. The fire appears to have caused extensive damage. Gwinnett firefighters were called around 5:20 p.m. and had the fire under control shortly after 6 p.m. said Lt. Colin Rhoden, spokesman for the county fire department. "There were several patrons in the restaurant at the time and the manager was able to get them and the employees out of the restaurant," said Rhoden. Rhoden said the restaurant manager saw smoke in the back of the restaurant, immediately called 911 and got everyone out of the building.
