Johns Creek's Laura Story Wins Dove Awards
Perimeter Church's worship leader takes home inspirational music awards.
Laura Story, a Johns Creek resident and worship leader at Perimeter Church, took home a handful of awards from last night's Dove Awards, held at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards recognize inspirational music. Story took home five awards, including Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for "Blessings" and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for "Blessings." Earlier this year Story won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Song, also for "Blessings," and released her first book, What If Your Blessings Come Through Raindrops? The Gospel Music Channel will air the 43rd annual Dove Awards on Tuesday, April 24, at 8 and 10 p.m.
