Herman Cain, the Atlanta-based Republican who ended his presidential bid in December, will appear with Newt Gingrich at his campaign appearance Saturday in Cumming. Cain threw his support behind Gingrich in January. "They're political soul mates," said Susan Meyers, Gingrich's Southeast Communications director. "Herman has endorsed Newt and he wants to lend his support as Newt does his first campaign swing through Georgia getting ready for Super Tuesday." Turnovers prove costly as Johns Creek hands Longhorns their first loss of the season
Capitalizing on six Lambert turnovers, Johns Creek silenced the Longhorns 23-0 Friday night, handing them their first loss of the season. Lambert (5-1 overall and in Region 7-AAAA) fumbled on its first two possessions deep in its own territory, allowing the Gladiators (6-1) to jump out to an early 10-0 lead. “We sort of shot ourselves in the foot early and made some mistakes we haven’t made this year, which is uncharacteristic,” said Lambert coach Sid Maxwell.
