City Council Honors 8-Year-Old Hero
Cooper Davis lauded for saving child from drowning.
The Johns Creek City Council on Monday recognized 8-year-old Cooper Davis for an "Act of Bravery." On July 2, Cooper, who was vacationing with his family in California, rescued an unconscious boy his own age by pulling him up from the bottom of a swimming pool. Cooper's father performed CPR on the child, and paramedics were able to revive him. Cooper's honor came on the same night Fire Chief Jeff Hogan presented the city's new water safety video, and the city swim team, JCATS, were recognized for their recent wins at the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association State Swim Meet.
