Students and staff at Findley Oaks Elementary, where the school mascot is a Falcon, went all out to show their support for the Atlanta Falcons as the team headed into the NFC Championship Game. The halls and classrooms were decorated in red and black, with Falcons banners hung throughout the building. Students and staff decked out in Falcons gear, and red and black clothing. A special presentation on the morning announcement television program encouraged everyone to “Rise Up” to support their hometown team. The Falcon Fever culminated with a school-wide “Rally to Rise Up” led by Diane Clark’s fourth grade Class. Calling all home team fans: Cheer on the Atlanta Falcons before the big game against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend. Fulton County is celebrating its hometown team with a pep rally honoring the Falcons as they prepare for Sunday’s NFC Playoff game against the 49ers. Local residents are encouraged to “Rise Up” and show their support of Atlanta's team by wearing the team colors of red and black. Former Atlanta Falcon Terance Mathis, the Falcons cheerleaders and several special guest surprises will be on hand at the Fulton County Government Center Atrium, 141 Pryor Street, SW in Atlanta on Friday, Jan. 18, at noon.

Confident in the home team, Fulton County's Chairman John Eaves made a friendly wager over the outcome of Sunday’s Falcons/Seattle Seahawks playoff game with Washington's King County Executive Dow Constantine.
