Ace Hardware Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

Ace Hardware celebrated its grand re-opening Saturday, along with the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Mike Bodker, at 10875 Jones Bridge Road. The business was formerly located just a short distance away in the North Bridges shopping plaza at State Bridge and Jones Bridge roads. Aldi grocery store will move into Ace's former spot in the shopping plaza later this year.

Forget Bread and Milk: It Was All About Sleds and Toboggans at ACE Hardware

Late afternoon arrival of sleds leads to run on Johns Creek's ACE Hardware.

If you happened to drive by the ACE Hardware at State Bridge and Jones Bridge roads Saturday evening, you saw the line of 50-something vehicles snaking around the store. As word got around that this was the only ACE in the area with the items in stock, customers, readying for the impending winter storm, came from all over to pick up sleds for $14.99 and toboggans for $16.99, as well as ice-melting materials and equipment. "It's been pretty much insane," said ACE employee Josh Wood. "Cars starting lining up at 4:45 when people heard our truck was supposed to get in at 5, but it was about an hour late.
