He served in the Canadian Royal Air Force. He worked in the hospitality industry for many years before retirement.

Joseph Ernest Janelle, 96 of Ozone Park, NY passed away on April 17, 2013 in Cumming. Born in Richmond, Quebec he was preceded in death by his 10 brothers and sisters. Mr. Janelle served in the Canadian Royal Air Force. He worked in the hospitality industry for many years before retirement. He is survived by his son, Ernie (Betty) Janelle of Vinings, GA; daughter, Cathy (Rob) Spector of Hicksville, NY; daughter, Lisa (Kent) Mahlke of Alpharetta, GA; son, Norman C. Janelle of Ozone Park, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Wood and Sarah, Catie, and Daniel Mahlke; nephew, Norman Janelle; nieces, Ellen Brewer, Julia Hale, and Suzanne Patterson. Bo Godwin taught Sunday school for 15 years at Johns Creek Baptist Church.

The following obituary appears on the McDonald & Son Funeral Home & Crematory website: Judson Byron Godwin Jr., 54, passed away Thursday, April 4. To everyone he was known simply as "Bo." He graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with an Electrical Engineer degree in 1983. Although he graduated from Southern Poly, Bo attended GA Tech also. While there he decided, after never playing organized football, to tryout for the GA Tech football team. He did make the team as a walk-on, and played during the 1979-80 season. Local Middle School Student Dies on Spring Break

Roswell resident James McHenry attended Haynes Bridge Middle School in Alpharetta; funeral will be in Johns Creek on Wednesday.

Over the weekend, the families of North Fulton students learned the sad news that a local middle school student had been killed over spring break. Former Hillside Elementary student James McHenry was vacationing with his family on Hutchinson Island last week when he was hit by a car Wednesday, April 3, according to a notice sent out by Hillside Principal Maisha Otway over the weekend. "Jamie, as he was called by his friends and family, attended Haynes Bridge Middle School," wrote Otway. "He was a former Hillside student and sibling to our dear [fifth] grade student Emily McHenry." Bryan Hensley, River Pines Golf Superintendent, Dies

Hensley will be laid to rest Saturday, March 30 at Green Lawn Cemetery following a funeral in Cumming.

Roswell resident Bryan Gene Hensley, 55, died Tuesday, March 26. Hensley, an avid golfer, was the superintendent at River Pines Golf Course in Johns Creek. In his free time, he spent countless hours molding wood and metal to create beautiful pieces that were cherished by family and friends.  Born in Asheville, NC, and a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church, Hensley was the son of the late C. Gene and Annabelle Hensley. He is survived by his daughter, Erica Christine Hensley of Atlanta; fiancé, Kristy Thompson of Cumming; brothers, Joe Hensley of Sugar Hill and Scott Hensley of Woodstock; sister, Teresa McDaniel of Grayson; Erica’s mother, Teresa Summers Hensley of Newnan; and an extended loving family. Funeral Services Today for Monsignor Paul Reynolds

St. Brigid monsignor remembered as someone who 'exuded love."

With a congregation of some 3,700 families, Monsignor Paul Reynolds had "a large flock," said Saint Brigid Catholic Church's deacon, Rev. Leo Gahafer. Reynolds, 72, died at Emory University Hospital on Dec. 18. "He was like my best friend," said Gahafer, who added that he and Reynolds both started at the Johns Creek church around the same time in 2006. He continued, "There's certain people you encounter in a lifetime and you know you are in the presence of somebody special. He was truly a holy man of God. It consumed every fiber of his being.
