Located in the northeastern tip of Fulton County, Shakerag Elementary School opened in 1997. Its mission statement is "to ensure all students meet or exceed curriculum standards, becoming responsible citizens and lifelong learners." Shakerag Elementary has been rated one of the best schools in the county, earning the Parent Involvement Schools of Excellence Certification and the Outstanding Local PTA Unit award from the National PTA. Shakerag is home to the Sharks, and the school's mascot is Sharky. Shakerag is part of the Northview High School cluster.
