9/17/2012 I had been treated at an urgent care facility for a migraine earlier the same day.went home, the migraine came back.Urgent care concerned that I had not responded to 2 injections/anti-nausea drugs. Advised to go to the ER.Arrived prior to 5pm-only a few folks waiting in line.I was vomiting, severe pain that the lights and noise of the ER made worse, the vomiting more frequently. One could throw a rock and hit my car from his desk.I asked if I could wait in my car. He said" I'll call you." In the 90 seconds that it took me to walk in the door, triage nurse over ruled him and took the next person, leaving me no choice but to wait inside.Triage nurse would have absolutely no negotiating- I had to wait inside if I wanted to be treated. TWO hours later after I had curled up in the dark corner of the children’s room in the fetal position, I had not only thrown up repeatedly but also had peed myself. Still could not even give me a guess as to how much longer.I was in so much pain and needed to change clothes so I left. I literally could not stand it anymore. They would not give me as much as a pillow. They would not let me wait a stone’s throw away, could not tell me how long it might be, were unconcerned about the fact that an urgent care had recommended that I be seen in an ER immediately. They were the most uncompassionate bunch that I have ever encountered in the medical profession in my 56 years.I was told if they "triaged" they can charge.I have health insurance.
