Dolvin Elementary School opened its doors in September 1979. It became the subject of national attention when President Jimmy Carter dedicated it on Sept. 15, 1980. Carter is a nephew of the late W. Jasper Dolvin, the school's namesake. The school has earned a number of national excellence titles. It has three computer labs and an outdoor learning area. Dolvin is located in the Johns Creek High School cluster. Its school mascot is the dolphin.
