Johns Creek officially became a city on Dec. 1, 2006, following a voter referendum that summer and an election for city officials in the fall. City Hall is located at 12000 Findley Rd., and houses Town Hall meetings, parks and recreation and public works. The city manages Newtown, Ocee and Shakerag parks and the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center. Johns Creek's elected government consists of a mayor and six city council members.
