Friday, Dec. 27: Registration Deadline for Clubhouse Fitness ClassesJohns Creek Recreation & Parks offers Clubhouse Fitness classes to help you get in shape, stay energized and maintain a healthy lifestyle. All classes are held at the Newtown Community Clubhouse located at Newtown Park and are taught by certified instructors. All fitness levels are welcome.

Friday, Dec. 27: Scottish Solstice Holiday Celebration: Music and Stories from Celtic LandsJamie Laval’s Scottish Solstice Celebration captures the beauty and atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands during the holidays, weaving a tapestry of music, dance, and stories that hearken back to the ancient Celtic celebrations associated with the Winter Solstice and Christmas. An entertaining and thought-provoking family holiday experience.

Sunday, Dec. 29: Sign Up For Spring Youth Sports at Newtown Park - Young athletes in Johns Creek can register through Jan. 31 for one of several sports being offered this spring through Newtown Recreation. The athletic association, which runs youth athletic programs for the City at Newtown Park, offers several sports to choose from, including baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and tennis.

Sunday, Dec. 29: Cat Adoptions at PetsmartCome visit the Furkids cats!  Some of our adoptable cats are located in the PetSmart store to meet and greet potential families during store hours.  Cats stay overnight and are rotated in/out of the store on a schedule.  Please stop by and visit with them or view all available cats (and dogs!) at http://www.furkids.org/.

Friday, Jan. 3: Safety and Self-Defense Class for Girls - Johns Creek Police Department is offering teenaged girls a Safety and Self-Defense class to teach situational awareness and self-defense. The teenagers' class is for girls 13 to 20 years old, and is taught by Sgt. Debbie Kalish and Sgt. Ben Finley of the Johns Creek Police Department. Space is limited. Click on link above to register.
