Fun Things Coming Up This Weekend

Holiday shopping, poetry, Willy Wonka, GA 400 Road Race and more on tap for the weekend.

We found five fun things going on this weekend in and around Johns Creek.

Friday, Nov. 15: Autrey Mill Middle School presents Willy Wonka Jr! -  The play will be performed on Friday, November 15th at 7 PM and Saturday, November 16th at 2 PM and 7 PM on the AMMS stage.  A talented and devoted group of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students have worked diligently on the play since early September creating a musical that will be enjoyed by the entire family.

Saturday, Nov. 16: Tis' the Season Bazaar! & Story Time with Santa! - Kick off your Holiday Shopping at our Tis' the Season Bazaa. There is a variety of vendors, book signing, crafts AND! SANTA!

Saturday, Nov. 16: Fifth Annual Johns Creek Poetry Festival Hear well-known poets, including Ron Self of Columbus who will read from his new book, "Rich Man's Son." Students from the Alpharetta International Academy will read poems. Poet Paul Samuels will lead a Children's Poetry Workshop.

Saturday, Nov. 16: Ha Taekyung TaeKwonDo Championship 2013 - located on 10900 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek hosts its annual Championship tournament at Collins High School

Sunday, Nov. 17: GA 400 Road RaceCelebrate the end of the tolls and Benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. For only the second time in 20 years, Atlantans are invited to race down GA 400. The four-mile GA 400 Road Race, stretches from Glenridge Drive to Phipps Plaza on Lenox Road.
