This Weekend: Founders Parade, Holiday Festival, Christmas Fair, Music and More

The Johns Creek Patch calendar is full of news about weekend events. Here's a look at five weekend community events. Click on the links in the listings for more details.

Friday, Dec. 6: Northview High School Barnes & Noble BookfairShop for your holiday gifts and support Northview High School's Project Graduation.

Saturday, Dec. 7: Johns Creek Founders Parade - The parade, which celebrates the founding of the City on Dec. 1, 2006, starts at State Bridge Road heading west from West Morton Road to Kimball Bridge Road, about 1.3 miles. Community floats, high school marching bands, Scouts and others will be stepping off at 10 a.m.

Saturday, Dec. 7: Back to Nature Holiday Market and Festival - The Chattahoochee Nature Center invites shoppers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to the fifth annual Back-To-Nature Holiday Market.  Everything from ornaments to original art, eco-friendly items, toys, candles and even clothing will be available for purchase from over forty talented local artisans.

Saturday, Dec. 7: Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells - It’s holiday time, and everyone’s favorite first grader is back to celebrate! The Dancing Goat Theater. Click on link for showtimes.

Sunday, Dec. 8: Mount Pisgah Old Fashioned Christmas FairStep back in time and enjoy an Old Fashioned Christimas. Take your own photos with Santa, enjoy wagon rides, artisans, petting farm, period decorations, chuckwagon, crafts, vendors, games and live music.

Sunday, Dec. 8: Perimeter Church's "Repeat the Sounding Joy" Christmas Program - Come and experience an evening of interactive live music, video and dance. In between the two offerings, there will be a reception in the front courtyard, including live music from local eclectic band, ESOEBO, with hot chocolate and goodies for everyone.
