'Oz' Coming to Newtown Park

Disney adventure concludes this season's movie series.

Learn how a shady magician becomes the wizard in “Oz, the Great and Powerful,” the final film in Johns Creek’s 2013 Movies at Newtown Park series on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The movie, which is rated PG, starts at dusk. Families are invited to bring blankets, eat and drink and let the kids play before the movie is shown on a giant inflatable screen. A couple of hours before the movie starts children can enjoy face-painting, inflatable moonwalks, children’s activities, contests, giveaways and entertainment. Food and drinks are for sale.

Admission is free, but no alcohol or pets are permitted. Movies at Newtown Park is sponsored by Northside Hospital.
