Flood Warning Issued by National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has issue a "Flood Warning" for the area including Johns Creek.

The flood warning was issued for Crooked Creek that affects Johns Creek and Fulton County.

The NWS said that "heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and rivers will will cause flooding in some areas."

At 10:15 a.m. Crooked Creek was at 10.5 feet and rising rapidly. Flood stage is 11 feet.

The NWS is "urging precautionary actions for those living along the river to monitor forecasts and be prepared to take necessary actions to protect life and property."

The warning was issued Saturday morning after thunderstorms dumped additional rain into the already swollen rivers and streams in the area.
