Young Great Dane Mix Ready for Adoption

Energetic, affectionate 6-month-old female dog was saved by a local vet.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is grateful to one of its veterinary partners, Peach Pets Animal Hospital of Johns Creek, for saving the life of a sweet, irrepressible Great Dane mix named June Bug.

June Bug faced several medical issue that her owners couldn't afford to treat, so Dr. Stephanie Smith was asked to euthanize her. Instead, Dr. Smith accepted ownership of the young dog, and performed the necessary surgery at her own expenses. Dr. Smith and her staff are now asking the rescue group to help find a forever home for June Bug.

According to clinic staff, "June Bug is about six months old. She won't be too big, though, when she gets older, and we expect her to be about 75-80 pounds when fully grown.

She is all legs and full of energy. Dr. Smith's own dog is teaching June Bug doggie manners, and Dr. Smith is training her, including basic manners and how to walk properly on a leash.

She is extremely affectionate, and gets along with dogs, cats and kids of all ages. All her vet work is done, including being spayed, vaccinated, and tested for heartworm disease. We would like to see a home where there are plenty of play and exercise opportunities, and lots of TLC.
