Volunteers Fix Donated Bikes to Give This Holiday

Johns Creek Baptist among those who donated bikes to NFCC.

About 150 volunteers recently gathered to polish and shine nearly 550 bikes donated for  Santa Shop.

The bikes will be given as holiday gifts to people through the charity this month. This year was the fifth year for the annual bike drive, which collects bikes from neighborhoods in the tri-county area (Forsyth, Gwinnett and Fulton).

On Saturday the volunteers included about 30 mechanics who were able to transform many of the bikes like new for the kids. Sponsors included Alpha Bikes, , Reality Bikes, Performance Bikes and . and Price Waterhouse Coopers donated more 200 new bikes for the program as well.
