LexisNexis to Host 5K Charity Run

Money raised will go to development of a new playground.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has announced the company will again host its annual Windward Challenge 5K Charity Run/Walk on Sept. 19. Proceeds will benefit KaBOOM!, a national non-profit dedicated to saving play for America’s children.  For the past 12 years, LexisNexis has hosted the event to support local Atlanta-area non-profit organizations, which has raised more than $920,000 through the annual initiative.

“KaBOOM! is thrilled to continue our tremendous work with LexisNexis,” said KaBOOM! Founder and CEO Darell Hammond. “Every child deserves to have a great place to play and we will once again make that possible for children in the Atlanta area, while bringing KaBOOM! one step closer to our vision of a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.”

“LexisNexis is committed to helping others through community involvement and service,” said Jim Peck, CEO, LexisNexis. “The annual Windward Challenge offers a fun and healthy activity for our employees, their families and the greater Atlanta business community to participate in a fun 5K event, while contributing to an excellent cause.  We are pleased to once again partner with KaBOOM!”
