Golfers Put $51,000 in NFCC Emergency Fund

The 2011 Swing into Action with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) Golf Tournament at The Standard Club last month raised more than $51,000 for the nonprofit's Emergency Financial Assistance Program.

NFCC’s goal is to prevent local families and individuals in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell from becoming homeless by providing the basic needs of food, financial assistance and clothing.  

The course had 131 golfers in competition, but it also included breakfast and lunch, a variety of skill competitions and a host of raffle prizes, NFCC announcted today, Aug. 31. In addition, the tournament featured the Faith Based Challenge, which was won for the third year by Alpharetta First United Methodist Church. This year’s tournament winners were:
