Friendly Pammie Looking for Loving Home

Three-year-old dog full of personality and spunk.

Precious Pammie was at a county animal shelter and seemed to know that her time was almost up. She immediately caught the attention of an Angels Among Us volunteer by standing on her hind legs, smiling and wagging her tail for all she was worth. You could almost hear her saying, “Please, someone help me!”

The kind volunteer simply couldn’t walk by without stopping, and very shortly afterward Pammie was being whisked out of the shelter…safe at last!...and officially became an “Angels Girl”!

Sweet Pammie is a 3-year-old medium-sized Labrador-Dachshund mix with a ton of personality and spunk. She really does smile, and has a heart as big as any dog twice her size. She is a high-energy girl who loves playing chase with her foster mates out in the yard.  Her foster parent said, "Pammie’s new favorite sport is ‘possum hunting.’ Every morning she races out to check the trees, fences and hiding spots, just in case a possum might be hiding somewhere. (They rarely are, of course, but that doesn’t stop her from having her fun.)

Pammie’s best quality is her friendly disposition – she loves everyone. Pammie gives kisses to strangers like she’s known them all her life.  She’s a wonderful “cuddle bug” and will keep you warm on chilly nights.  She would be a wonderful family dog with plenty of love to go around. She does very well with her foster buddies, and would be excellent for someone looking for a dog to be a companion with one already in the household. She would probably also be a great walking/running buddy.

A nice bonus for adopting Pammie is that she’s already housetrained and has not had accidents in her foster home. Also, she is not a “chewer,” except for dog toys designed for that purpose. She does gulp her food down very quickly, so at some point in her life she did not receive regular meals.

Pammie has received all basic vet work, and is microchipped, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has been tested for heartworm disease.  If you are interested in adopting Pammie, contact her foster provider at steven@403forbidden.net or 678-362-3873.  Adoption applications can be found on Angels Rescue's website www.angelsrescue.org.
