Dovey Looking for Home With Lots of TLC

Musical little cat a truly special kitty.

According to the Angels Among Us cat volunteers, Dovey is a unique little cat. She has never had a real home as far as they know, and they'd love to find a wonderful home for this cutie pie.

Here's how Angels' Cat Program Coordinator, Deborah Smith, describes Dovey: "We’ll start out by saying that everyone who meets Dovey completely falls in love with her. Calling her sweet doesn’t do her justice. She is simply a lovely little cat who loves everyone, is very mellow, and who doesn’t let anything phase her. She likes people, other cats (and other cats all seem to like her), and dogs. She is very undemanding, and a truly low-maintenance cat. We have found, however, that she is very grateful for a small treat in the morning, and then she’s good to go for the rest of the day."

Smith says that Dovey has one unique and endearing characteristic. She has a very audible purr that sounds like a bird cooing. (Hence her name, Dovey.) Her purring is almost musical, and there’s no doubt at all when she’s feeling particularly happy, which is almost all the time.

Although the volunteers are not quite sure how old Dovey is, one of the group's vet guesses around she is 8. She seems healthy, and when her thick hair has a good brushing, she is actually quite pretty.

Dovey would make a wonderful cat for someone who lives in an apartment or small home. She loves hanging out on the couch or any comfortable place, and likes keeping her foster "mom" company when she reads, watches TV or works on the computer. Dovey would do fine with another cat or cats, but also would be fine by herself, assuming she gets lots of TLC from her new family.

Dovey is a tidy cat and good about using her litter box.

Like all of Angels' rescued cats, Dovey has been altered and is up to date on vaccinations, has been tested for feline leukemia, feline AIDS and heartworm disease, has been provided parasite control treatment, and is micro-chipped.
