As the year comes to a close, we're taking a look back at the stories that captivated our readers the most and had them clicking and talking in droves.

The year started out with the murder-suicide of a Johns Creek family, but the mayor's investigation and municipal election news dominated the end of the year news.

Two adults and two children who were found dead in an Aylesbury Farms apartment on Abbotts Bridge Road in Johns Creek on Monday were the victims of an apparent murder-suicide, police say.

The mayor's attorney filed an action in Fulton County Superior Court to stop the investigation and subpoenas. Judge Todd Markle has been assigned to the case.
