'Movies in the Park' Coming to Johns Creek

Families can enjoy 'Alvin & the Chipmunks' at Newtown Park on Saturday.

The family comedy “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked” is the film selection on June 9 for Johns Creek’s first of this summer series.

The vacationing Chipmunks and Chipettes become "chipwrecked" on a remote island, which is not as deserted as it seems. The movie, rated G, will be shown on a large inflatable, out-door screen.

The movie starts at dusk, about 9 p.m., at Newtown Park. Pre-show activities, which start two hours earlier, include an inflatable moonwalk, face painting, children’s activities, give-aways, entertainment, food and drinks.  Families are invited to bring blankets to the movie.
