“This is a real honor for our school as well as for our team. Our girls have worked hard and dedicated themselves to be the best they can be,” said head coach Ken Bomar. “They know that they have to work even harder now because all the other teams will be trying to knock off the no. 1 team. There is still the rest of the season to play as well as the regional and state tournaments, but we know what we have to do to accomplish our goals."

The squads top three singles players Aryn Greene, Taylor Carlson and Samantha Russell, are 35-0 in individual matches.

Pisgah has three matches next week against King’s Ridge (Tuesday), sub-region opponent St. Francis (Wednesday) and Galloway (Thursday). All matches will be held at the Country Club of Roswell beginning at 4 p.m.

On the boy’s side the Patriots (6-1, 2-0 5E-A) are ranked No. 4 in class A. The team’s only loss was to No. 2 ranked Pace.
