The second half started with a steady rain until lightning flashed with about 13 minutes into the half.  Then the rain and thunderstorms came, and the game was stopped. It resumed Monday under mostly sunny skies and a cool breeze, far different from the conditions three days earlier.

During the rest of the second half, Roswell generated more chances to score, but the Lady Hornets were unable to do so and regulation ended with both teams stilled tied at 0-0.

After the first five-minute overtime, which saw no goals, both teams entered a second five-minute overtime period. With about 35 seconds left in the second overtime, the Northview defense was unable to clear the ball.  Roswell senior Ingraham Loper intercepted the ball,  took a shot just outside the 18 yard box and scored to give Roswell the 1-0 win.

The loss drops Northview to 8-8 on the season and 3-3 in Region 6AAAAA.  For the Lady Hornets, they improve to 7-5 on the season and 3-2 in Region 6AAAAA.  They travel to North Forsyth for the last game of the regular season  Tuesday night at 8.  Northview wraps up its regular season Tuesday night at Etowah at 6.
