Johns Creek Boys Track Qualifies for State Meet

From Coach Charles Babb at Johns Creek High:

The following boys qualified for the AAAA state meet in Jefferson, May 5-7:

  • Matt Azemar - long jump, 100 meters, 200 meters, 4 x 400 relay 
  • Jonathan Roddey - 200 meters 
  • Antonio Morales - 4 x 400 relay 
  • Brian Napier - 4 x 400 relay 
  • Dante Biggins - 4 x 400 relay 
  • Seth Reaves (alternate) - 4 x 400 relay 
  • Scott Mohr (alternate) - 4 x 400 relay
  • Matt Azemar was region champion in the 200 meters (runner-up in the 100 meters)  and the 4 x 400 meter relay team was also region champions.  Jonathan Roddey was runner-up in the 200 meters.

The boys team finished in fourth place out of 11 teams in Region 7 AAAA.

Johns Creek High School is hosting the girls AAAA, Region 7 track meet on April 29 and May 2, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day.
