Wheelhopper Hare & Hounds-Style Mountain Bike Ride

Wheelhopper is the Atlanta area biking kennel of the Hash House Harriers.

We ride “trails” all over Georgia and sometimes even ride the skinny tire bikes but always have a good time.

Yeah you might have to hike-a-bike and maybe even get your feet wet, but its all part of the adventure.

Check out some areas of Atlanta and the surrounding communities you’ve never been to before. Follow the flour and the reward is a cold beverage and some chill time with a great crew of people.

This week's ride starts off at Newtown Park in Johns Creek.

Riders must be 18 years or older. NO dogs.

Meet at 12:30 - roll out at 1p.

Be sure to bring a helmet (mandatory), tools & spare tube (in case you get a flat) and a water supply enough to last two hours of riding. It'll be an urban assault-style ride so there'll be plenty of stores or restaurants around in case you go dry.

Que Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D Major:

Wheelhopper's taking the upper ATL 'burbs by storm Sunday April 15 when Puff'n'Stuff busts an urban assault of epic proportions through Johns Creek's gated enclaves and exclusive country club-lined thoroughfares.

Come see first hand how the One Percent really lives.

And then get introspective during and after the ride about your own failed and miserable existence and how it's just too late in life now to ever measure up.

STOP fooling yourself - it's over!

Actually, you shouldn't even finish the ride; just find a ditch somewhere, fall in it and die!

But... for those of you who refuse to give up and endeavor to persevere: expect a mix of road, off-road, Alpharetta Greenway, park through-ways, power line bombs and so on and so forth.

Long and short options.

House ending, cookout, cold beer and all the talk about bikes and life to your heart's content is inclusive with the cash rego.

Start: Newtown Park. 3150 Old Alabama Road (directly across the street from Fire Station #63) Johns Creek, GA 30022). It's on the right about 1/2 block east of Haynes Bridge Road.

Enter the park from Old Alabama (right turn at the light). Go straight ahead to stop sign. Then make a left. Curve to the right and park along the right curb on the OTHER side of the island adjacent the lacrosse fields.

See ya' Sunday April 15!

Price: $10
