Johns Creek Swim Team Collects Medals, Kudos at City Council Meeting

The JCATS were recognized for competing at the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association this summer where they captured 14 medals.

During the Sept. 9th meeting, the City Council presented the Johns Creek Aquatic Team (JCATS) with metals for their outstanding season.

"We had 85 swimmers compete on the JCAT team July 25-26 in Gainesville at the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association State Swim Meet," said Kirk Franz, the city's Recreation Manager. "The JCATs earned 26 individual medals and eight relay medals."

The JCATS claimed four first-place medals, six second-place medals and four third-place medals in Class A competition. 

The team was established in 2008, the team is made up of  swimmers from neighborhood teams throughout Johns Creek. Swimmers range from 7 to 18 years old.
