Chattahoochee Boys Get By Forsyth Central in Region 7AAAA Tournament

Chattahoochee boys basketball team beats Forsyth Central 50-42 in the second round of the 7AAAA region tournament.

Junior forward Jaron Blossomgame scored 20 points to lead the Chattahoochee Cougars (22-3) to a 50-42 win over Forsyth Central Wednesday night in the second round of the Region 7AAAA tournament at Creekview High School.

The first quarter was evenly played as the Bulldogs were able to stay with the Cougars. Seniors Nolan Herslebs and Austin Gilliam did much of the scoring for the Bulldogs. However, Blossomgame, along with sophomore point guard Markus Terry, were able to score from the outside and through dribble penetration.

However, Forsyth Central senior guard Brock Ragsdale nailed a three-pointer at the buzzer to end the first quarter, tying the score at 12. The Cougars went on a 6-0 run to start the second quarter, thanks to some tough man-to-man defense played by the Cougars.
