Woodward North Kids Skype With U.K. Professor

Sixth-graders in Debbie Stephens' class at Woodward North are working on their Tech Yes projects about ancient Egypt. After students conducted their preliminary research, they held a Skype session with Professor Alan Lloyd of Swansea University in the United Kingdom who specializes in Egyptology, Herodotus and ancient warfare in the College of Arts and Humanities.

Professor Lloyd is also the president of the Egyptian Exploration Society. During the Skype session, he shared about his experiences with archaeological exhibitions inside the pyramids in Egypt. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions that pertained to their own projects about Egypt.

Another Skype session with Professor Lloyd is planned following the Thanksgiving break.
