Woodward North Siblings Excel in String Competition

Tobias Liu, a second grade student at Woodward North in Johns Creek, won the elementary division of the Georgia Music Teachers Association’s (GMTA) String Competition. Tobias, a violinist, won the Outstanding Performer Convention Recitalist award, the highest award given in the competition. As the recipient of this award, Tobias was invited to perform at the GMTA convention held at Columbus State University in November.

Tobias’ sister, Phoebe, also a violinist, is a sixth grade student at Woodward North and has won the same award for the middle and upper grade divisions in the last two years. Phoebe has also performed at GMTA conventions.
