River Trail Students Celebrate Mardi Gras

Audray Woolheater’s sixth-grade French classes at River Trail Middle School created paper mache Mardi Gras masks as part of their study of French speaking countries’ celebrations. The small mask collection entitled “Les masques et les couleurs” were made from newspaper, water, glue and paint. In addition, the students had to explain the cultural connection between the design of their mask and Mardi Gras.
