Pisgah Softball Places Five on All-State Team

Pisgah finished the season 25-6 overall and 8-0 in region regular season play.

The varsity softball team had five players named to the Class A All-State team this week. Madison Calytor, Madison Wickline and Morgan Walters were named to the first team, while Nicole Peters and Courtney Condon were named to the second team.

“This group deserves every honor that they get. They have worked so hard during the season and the off season. All of these girls recognized contributed a great deal offensively and defensively,” said Head Coach Haley Brooks. “These All-State selections gain even more respect for the entire athletic program here at Mount Pisgah. We are now a force to be reckoned with. The best part is that everyone is returning for next year!”

Claytor anchored the defense as the teams’ catcher. The junior hit .371 with 32 runs scored and 31 RBIs. She was an Honorable Mention All-State selection as a sophomore.
