Pisgah Football Falls to Whitefield

Patriots drop region game to Whitefield.

The Mount Pisgah Christian School varsity football team followed a familiar pattern on Friday night scoring on their first drive of the game. Unfortunately, the pattern they followed was not scoring again and losing to Whitefield Academy 28-6.

The Patriots had the run game going early, as they drove down to the Wolfpack seven yard line before the drive stalled. But a fake field goal play worked and Austin Harper ran the ball in to give Pisgah a 6-0 lead.

After that the team was unable to find much offense. The Patriots only had 136 yards of total offense on the night, with 72 of those yards coming on the opening drive. Almost all of the offense came from the run game with Aaron Winchester leading the way with 11 carries for 46 yards. Austin Harper added ten10yards.
