Northview Student Wins National Achievement Scholarship
Justin O. Bryant has each won $2,500 scholarship.
A Northview High School student is among five throughout the county who were recently named winners in the 49th annual National Achievement Scholarship Program, an academic competition for African-American high school students.
Justin O. Bryant won a $2,500 cash prize - or an equivalent scholarship - from one of the 34 corporations underwriting the National Merit program.
All of the qualifying students were identified through exceptionally high scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which they took as juniors. They also must have a record of high academic performance, be endorsed and recommended by their school principal and have earned SAT scores that confirm their earlier qualifying test performance.
