Northview Lady Titans Lose to Alpharetta in Region Tournament

Alpharetta rallies in fourth quarter to take win.

For three quarters on Friday, the Northview Lady Titans basketball team led the No. 1-seeded Alpharetta Raiders in the 6AAAAA Region semifinal game.

Both teams came out cold in the first quarter with Northview opening a 12-7 lead over the Raiders. At the end of the first half, the Lady Titans maintained their five-point spread at 20-15.

In the second half, the Raiders began working the ball inside and slowly began to cut into the Northview lead, closing to within three points, 31-28, by the end of the third quarter.

Alpharetta's inside game continued to work and the Raiders pulled away in the fourth period posting a 48-45 victory over the Lady Titans.

Northview will play Milton in the consolation game on Saturday. Alpharetta will face Roswell in the region championship game.
