For the first quarter of play, it seemed that neither Northview nor Roswell could get their offenses on track in their first round GHSA Region 6AAAAA tournament game on Wednesday. At the end of the first period, the score was knotted at 8-8.
The Roswell Hornets ended the first half with a slim four-point lead over the Titans, 19-15. Northview battled the Hornets in the third quarter, closing to within two points at 34-32 by the end of the period.
But as the final quarter progressed, Roswell began to break away from Northview, posting a 58-48 victory, which moves the Hornets into the semi-final round of the tournament on Friday facing the No.1-seeded Milton Eagles.
With the loss, Northview's season is ended.
