North Fulton Student Elizabeth Lockett Named Merit Scholar

Lockett plans to attend Southern Methodist University.

Elizabeth Lockett, a senior at Wesleyan School in Norcross who lives in North Fulton, has been namedΒ a National Merit Scholar and recipient of the $2,500 scholarship.

Lockett plans to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, this fall as a Cox BBA Scholar and a University Honors Program Scholar. She has also received the SMU Founders Scholarship, BBA Scholar Scholarship and SMU's $20,000 National Merit Scholarship.

She has logged more than 300 hours of community service as a member of National Charity League and lettered three years in lacrosse and color guard and was a U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American in 2011
