On Monday, Nov. 28, Johns Creek citizens began a weeklong celebration of the fifth anniversary of the founding of their city. As part of the commemoration, various civic leaders read books to the students of local elementary schools. had the honor of a visit from Mayor Mike Bodker, who read "Gingerbread Friends" to the kindergarten classes. The children thoroughly enjoyed this delightful adventure story, which also teaches a great lesson about the importance of the value of friendship. Mayor Bodker ended his visit with a gift to each child of a magical pencil that changes colors.
